STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS

CH - Chain

DC - Double Crochet

SL ST - Slip Stitch

FOUNDATION

Magic Circle or Chain 3 and join to form a circle.

PATTERN

Round1: CH 3 and SL ST into 1st CH to create a small circle.

Round 2: CH 2 and then place 10 DC into the centre of the circle. Join with a SL ST.(10)

You're going to ignore the chain 2 and not count as a stitch, this helps prevent your joins from having any gaps.

Round 3: CH 2 and place 2 DC in every stitch around. Join with a SL ST.(20)

Round 4: CH 2 and then place *1 DC in the next stitch and 2 DC in the next stitch ** repeat from *to** until you have 30 stitches. Join with a SL ST. (30)

Round 5: CH 2 and then place *1 DC in the two next stitches and 2 DC in the next stitch ** repeat from *to** until you have 40 stitches. Join with a SL ST. (40)

Round 6: CH 2 and then place *1 DC in the three next stitch and 2 DC in the next stitch ** repeat from *to** until you have 50 stitches. Join with a SL ST. (50)

If you you'd like to continue making a larger circle simply increase the number of DC you place in the round before the 2DC increase. Your rounds should increase by 10 every time.
